Seminar: Domestic violence and institutional support

Program's objectives:

  • Gaining knowledge of theoretical concepts, types, mechanisms, dynamics, distribution and consequences of domestic violence;
  • Understanding the basic principles in dealing with the phenomenon of violence;
  • The adoption of of standard processes and procedures in work;
  • Acquiring skills in identifying violence, estimating the degree of threat, emergency planning, documenting violence and keeping records;
  • Introduction to responsibilities in the actions of the relevant services;
  • Recognizing and understanding the specific mechanisms of power and control.

Program duration: two working days (12 working hours)

b) Organizing case conference

Seminar: Organizing case conference for protection of domestic violence

Program's objectives:

  • Integrating previous knowledge and experience in the field of protection against domestic violence and motivate CSW professional workers to organize case conferences;
  • Increasing the understanding of the importance of multi-sectoral planning and implementation of measures to protect victims of domestic violence;
  • Increasing the skills for organizing case conference (implementing regulations, processes and procedures).

Program duration: one working day (6 working hours)

  • Introduction to concepts of empowerment of victims, a partnership of community work and examples of "good practices";
  • Introduction to content of general and special protocols for actions of services in the prevention of violence against women and domestic violence;
  • Understanding the basic assumptions and elements of the coordination and the establishment of the initial agreement between key stakeholders in the community.
