This year yet again, the representatives of the Autonomous Women's Center participated in the October Encounters on Social Protection in Niš, this time with papers that thematized the pseudo-scientific concept of "parental alienation ". The research of judicial practice and the analysis of international standards, comparative legal solutions and domestic laws in the mentioned area were presented.

The expert public from Serbia was presented with the findings of the research of court practice in litigations for entrustment and maintenance of personal relations of a child with the parent with whom she or he does not live, by Tanja Ignjatović, Tanja Pavlov and Marija Lukić, obtained on 24 court cases in which there is resistance or refusal of the child to have contact with the parent and/or claims that the "alienation of the child from the parents" has occurred or could occur, and in which domestic violence is mentioned (a monograph that includes this research will be printed soon).

Also, the findings of the legal analysis The application of the concept of "parental alienation" in the assessment of parental capacities and the best interests of the child in situations of domestic violence, by Tanja Drobnjak, Dijana Malbaša and Marija Lukić, are presented, and contain detailed recommendations for changes to domestic regulations.
