kojim tempom napredujemoIn nine years, Serbia has only slightly increased the level of readiness for membership in the European Union and is persistently standing in the middle of the reform path. In critical areas from Chapters 23 and 24 (judiciary, fight against corruption, freedom of expression, fight against organized crime) it received an unchanged score of 2 out of 5.

In 2023, it failed to regain its previous level of progress. The biggest upsurge in annual progress was recorded in the area of public procurement (from 1 to 3), while the overall level of readiness for membership slightly increased only in Chapter 17 (from 3 to 3.5). There was no progress in Chapter 31, in which the European Commission stated in 2022 that there had been a setback.
